13) Saint Blaise

Saint Blaise(died in 316AD) is a physician, and bishop and healer from Sebastea in historical Armenia(modern Sivas,Turkey). The crossed candles depict a story of appreciation for healing from a woman who left him two candles to light his jail cell.Blaise is the patron saint for those afflicted with maladies of the throat.
