Sayaka Kamakari was born in Japan where she studied Industrial and Interior Design also Craft Design and Art at Musashino Art University.Afterward, received a master of architecture and civil engineering degree from Shibaura Institute of Technology. She began her career as a designer and architect at several architect firms. She is also a Jewelry designer.
She moved to Central Florida in 2009, became an Episcopalian and has been painting icons since 2014. With dreams of becoming a painter since a very young age, iconography is now her avowed ideal.
